"HOUSING PARTIES" AND WEBINARS START TODAY, JUNE 9, 2009 HUD LAUNCHES "RECOVERY ACT IN ACTION" WEEK
16 Field Offices throughout the Nation Host "Housing Parties," View Webcasts

Sixteen U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Regional and Field Offices will participate in HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan's "Recovery Act in Action" Week by hosting "Housing Parties," TODAY throughout the country. Events will take place in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago, Fort Worth, Kansas City, Denver, San Francisco, Seattle, Cleveland, Houston, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Phoenix. The "Housing Parties" will feature a broadcast message from Secretary Donovan, webinars providing hands-on technical assistance to grantees from HUD headquarters program staff, and networking opportunities for HUD's Recovery Act grantees and stakeholders. Media is invited to cover the opening day of events. Spokespersons will be available at the "Housing Parties" for on-camera interviews.

A video news release featuring an interview with Secretary Donovan will be available by satellite TODAY at 11 a.m. EDT. Satellite coordinate details are below:
