Why HUD Makes a Difference--Remarks by Secretary Cisneros
In 1995, a proposal was floated on Capital Hill to eliminate the Department of Housing and Urban Development. On June 29, 1995, Secretary Cisneros compiled these remarks and documents defending HUD's existence. He titled them "Why HUD Makes a Difference."
