HUD's Burlington Field Office Director Mike McNamara hosts Housing and Communities show on the Vermont Homeownership Initiative.

The Burlington Field Office recently highlighted the Vermont Homeownership Initiative (http://www.vthomeownership.org/) on their "Housing and Communities Show".

HUD Burlington Field Office Director Mike McNamara hosted. Guests included Brenda Torpy, executive director of the Burlington Community Land Trust and Hank Van Dine, director of the Franklin/ Grand Isle Homeownership Center.

The Vermont Homeownership Initiative is a collaboration between the six NeighborWorks Homeownership Centers in Vermont in partnership with the Vermont Community Foundation, the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation, Vermont Housing Finance Agency, Local Initiatives Support Corporation and the Fannie Mae Foundation. The goal of the Vermont Homeownership Initiative is to help 1,000 Vermont families buy their first home over the next two years.
