Surf the Web

There are sites that will help you find out how many people are visiting your site. Knowing what kind of browser your visitors are using, or what speed modem or the size of their monitor allows you to ensure your site is seen and usable by the greatest range of people. Remember, the most important stat is unique visitors, not hits.

  • Check With Your Web Host
Many web hosts provide statistics for your website as part of the package. If you are unsure whether you are entitled to statistical reports, check with your web hosting provider.

  • Webstats

Webstats offers free web statistics in return for an icon placed on your pages. Reports are limited, but do include page views and the ability to look at monthly trends.

  • TheCounter.net
    http://www.thecounter.net/
While not free, this organization offers statistics for a very low cost--$10 a year (or 300,000 visits whichever is first).
