Rule 3: Be an
Advocate for Your Audience
Understand your audiences' needs and desires and make sure your website
responds
- Look at your website from your audiences' point of view
Think about how you use your real estate
- People spend an average of 8 to 9 seconds deciding if they'll stay on your web page--if they don't see what they are looking for, they'll leave
- Give them what they want most, right on the front page
- Tip of the Day: If you do nothing more than go to the person who
answers the phones in your office, find out the 5 most frequently
asked questions, and put the answers on the front page, you'd have
a very good website.
