Rule 5: Create One Website for Your Entire Organization, With a Single "Look and Feel"
  • McDonald's approach - the public likes things that are familiar…they like to know what to expect

  • If your organization has components (e.g., divisions, offices, staffs, bureaus, etc.) who want their own pages, ask them to use the standard layout and "look and feel"

  • Single look makes you look "together" and makes your audience more comfortable with your website
    • It also makes your website easier to manage…if you have a single template, you can add or delete something once and it is reflected on every page
